  Reducing Stress

Reducing stress and trauma is of primary importance because it's contagious. The more stressed out the people around you are, the more it's going to affect your life, and if it affects your life, it's going to start to affect the people around you.

We can slow or stop that cycle by taking care of ourselves.

Here's a quick guide to get started...

So, yeah... ditching some stuff that makes the world worse, then treating yourself to a little tea and some care to make your body feel good can totally adjust your base stress levels - and that makes both you and everyone around you healthier! Take time to relax and indulge.

  Here's a few other tidbits...

More Resources
Mindfulness  •  Models of Power  •  Stress-Reducing Foods  •  Try Plantlife  •  Winnicott-Berne

And for those with a faintly more academic bent...

Technical Resources
Epidemiological Model  •  Maslow-Kohlberg  •  Animal Models  •  Values Shifting

So, basically, yes; it's our proposal that self-care and relaxation so that the individual is becomes a beacon of anti-stress radiating in their community, coupled with targeted intervention, can sort of swing the world around and change the base layer to improve outcomes. People want to be healthy and happy.

Addressing the base fabric is far more effective than trying to suppress symptoms.
